§ 87-14. Appeals.

  • (1)

    Authority. The board of adjustment shall act as the review and appeal authority for any order, requirement, decision or determination by the ordinance administrator under this chapter.

    (2)

    Procedure. The rules, procedures, duties and powers of the board of adjustment shall be as provided in the county code and the provisions of § 59.694, Wis. Stats., shall apply to any review or appeal under this chapter.

    (3)

    Variances. Upon appeal, the board of adjustment may authorize variances from the provisions of this chapter which are not contrary to the public interest or the purpose of this chapter, and where owing to special conditions beyond the control of the applicant, a literal enforcement of this chapter will result in unnecessary hardship.

    (4)

    Who may appeal. Appeals to the board of appeals may be taken by any aggrieved person or by an officer, department or board of the village affected by any decision of the ordinance administrator.
